monetizing the web 9-17-08

September 17, 2008

I am trying out various manual surf sites in order to advertise my people search site and to advertise the opportunity to have one of your own. I have been a member for just under a month now and I have managed to get 4 signups and 4 commissions on my account from Reunion.com. Not the big bang that I wanted to start with but it is something. Since I started advertising I have set up another website with ecomplanet.com so that I can blast that page address out on url blasters as the rules for the affiliate program for the Acme people search clearly states that you cannot add your people search address on “blasters” so the site guides those who are interested to my people search engine and to my opportunity enrollment page. However I had expected to get a greater response primarily because it is free to sign up and get your own people search engine and to take the next two steps to 100% display rate are not at all expensive. However people it seems are used to there being hidden agendas and hidden costs associated with money making opportunities and they have grown leery of jumping into anything that offers a startup for free.

There are numerous sites and opportunities that I have found and joined in the interim. Many of these sites and opportunities I have found on the sites that I surf in order to get exposure for my top sites. I have found out a few things about free advertising in my quest on the web to make money. I am surely learning what works and what does not work. A few of  the non working methods have surprised me. However the site tells me where each of my visitors come from and this helps me to understand what facets of my ad campaign are working and which are not. I will get more in depth with that and start naming the sites which I am advertising on for you in my next post.

Hello world! I am Synn

April 21, 2008

Hey there I am Synn actually I have another name but Synn is the name I used to dance under. I am 34 years old, mother of 4, and a former gentlemen’s club dancer. While I did dance in clubs for several years (off and on) I didn’t fall in love with the newly popular sport known as Pole Dancing for fitness until after I had retired from stripping. I was working on an online degree in IT when I retired from dancing to spend more time studying. While I danced in clubs I had a set of tricks and moves that I did and that was it. I didn’t have a pole where could practice in private and having once fallen on my head in front of customers I was determined to stick with the basic tricks and turns that I knew.

I run an internet business from my livingroom and my boyfriend is a custom leather worker, so we have an industrial sewing machine, an industrial scyther, and a huge workbench all in the living room. The bedroom is of course full of bedroom stuff and our spare room is full to the roof with storage. This meant that there was absolutely no room for a pole anywhere. Then one morning I woke up to the clank of metal on metal. My boyfriend decided to install a pole for me in our yard. We already had a flagpole stand which was coincidentally perfect for pounding my pole down into.

Now b4 I go any further it is probably a good idea to show you my before and after videos that I have posted on youtube. That address is www.youtube.com/synnisin

First dance video May 09

I am by no means done, in fact I am just reviewing all of my videos to pick up on where I need more work, or to find the mistakes in my form. My hope is that either my blogs, my videos, or my website will inspire someone up off of the couch off of their butt and onto a pole. Fitness is the only true anti aging serum that we have and the further that you let your body go the further and longer it will take to drag it back!

So until next post friends,
Cheers
